New York Giants fans who have long scapegoated veteran strength and conditioning coach Jerry Palmieri for the team's long-running injury issues can rejoice. Palmieri will apparently be out, along with veteran offensive line coach and defensive line coach Robert Nunn, in a re-shuffled Giants' coaching staff.
Giants are not retaining Robert Nunn, their DL coach since 2010. He'll interview with the Titans for the same position.

Jerry Palmieri out as #Giants strength/conditioning coach. Could be reassigned, per source. Also O-line coach Pat Flaherty will not return

Interestingly, the Giants' website lists every assistant coaching position as being vacant. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, however, appears likely to survive the coaching purge.
Palmieri was the strength and conditioning coach for the Giants during Tom Coughlin's entire 12-year tenure as head coach. The Giants were at or near the top of the league in injuries in each of the past three seasons. Flaherty was Coughlin's offensive line coach the entire time, as well. Nunn was hired by Coughlin in 2010.
