Who will represent the AFC in Super Bowl 50?

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The AFC Championship Game will pit the New England Patriots against the Denver Broncos. The game will be played in Denver on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 3:05 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS. The Patriots open as 2.5-point favorites despite being on the road.

The AFC West champion Broncos (13-4) defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 23-16, on Sunday evening. Denver quarterback Peyton Manning went 21-of-37 for 222 yards in his return to the Denver starting lineup. Kicker Brandon McManus, traded by the New York Giants to the Broncos before the start of the 2014 regular season, made five field goals for Denver.

The AFC East champion Patriots (13-4) advanced with a 27-20 victory on Saturday over the Kansas City Chiefs.

This, of course, means we get one more Peyton Manning-Tom Brady showdown. This will be the 17th. Enjoy it, as it may be the final time we see the two great quarterbacks match up.

The NFC Championship Game will pit the Carolina Panthers vs. the Arizona Cardinals That game will be played in Carolina on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 6:40 p.m. ET. It will be shown on FOX.
