The Philadelphia Eagles couldn't get Ben McAdoo away from the New York Giants. They couldn't convince Tom Coughlin to continue his coaching career. They will apparently end up with Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson as their head coach.

The Chiefs face the New England Patriots this weekend in the divisional round of the 2016 NFL playoffs. Thus, the Eagles will have to wait for Pederson until the Chiefs either lose a game or win the Super Bowl.

Pederson was an assistant coach under Andy Reid with the Eagles from 2009-2012. He followed Reid to Kansas City had has been the team's offensive coordinator for the past three seasons.
