The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly finished interviewing candidates for their head-coaching vacancy. Former New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin and current Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, who is also a leading candidate for the Giants job, are among the five candidates for the job. Will either get it?
Eagles fans, at least those who voted in the poll at SB Nation's Bleeding Green Nation asking which coach the Eagles would hire, apparently don't think so. Coughlin received 31 percent (4,950) of the 15,932 votes cast. McAdoo received the least support, getting only 4 percent (681) of the votes.
Eagles fans apparently believe Doug Pederson will be the team's next coach. Pederson, the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs, received 41 percent (6,508) of votes cast.
ESPN's Eagles beat writer Phil Sheridan believes the Eagles are most likely to hire Pederson. Sheridan lists McAdoo as the runner-up, with Coughlin as the third choice.
What would be harder to take, Philadelphia snatching McAdoo away from the Giants or seeing Coughlin in Eagles colors?
