Now former New York Giants' wide receiver Corey Washington's stay on the injured reserve didn't last long. It was reported Sunday afternoon that the former undrafted free agent would be released from the injured reserve after receiving an injury settlement.
The move will make Washington a free agent.

Washington electrified the Giants' fanbase by catching one game-winning touchdown after another in the 2014 preseason. However limited special teams abilities combined with a developing route tree kept him off the field in the regular season.
Washington started the preseason with the Giants' second team. However, an apparently disinterested attitude and consistently impressive performances -- on both offense and special teams -- by Geremy Davis helped the rookie beat Washington for a spot on the Giants 53-man roster.
Now Washington is free to sign with another team.
