The New York Giants set their 53-man roster on Saturday, but they almost certainly are not done tinkering with the group that will face the Dallas Cowboys a week from today in the regular-season opener. Players waived Saturday can be claimed until noon ET on Sunday, and the Giants will be scouring the waiver wire for potential help. Ten-man practice squads can be formed beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
Once the claiming period ends, teams will then be informed as to whether or not they were awarded any players off the waiver wire. After that time, practice squads will begin to be assembled.
What sort of help might the Giants find on the waiver wire? Chris offered several names to watch at positions of need. One thing to remember about adding veteran players to the roster. Teams often wait to do so until after Week 1 of the regular season. Why? A player on the season-opening roster has his salary guaranteed for the full year. A player signed after the first game does not.
Young players still hoping to make it in the NFL, and some players with limited experience hoping for another shot on a 53-man roster, will be joining practice squads this afternoon. Here are the rules and some candidates for the Giants' practice squad.
Use this thread to track and discuss all of today's roster moves. As was the case on Saturday, any major moves will be broken out into separate posts.

We won't find out until later which players are being bumped from the roster to make room. Could this be the end of the Markus Kuhn era?
Corey Washington is still a Giant, so that's good news for those of who are CWash advocates.
Also for the Giants, WR Corey Washington cleared waivers and was added to injured reserve.

Wide receiver Julian Talley reportedly added to practice squad. Seems like Talley has been on the practice squad forever.
Defensive back C.J. Conway, a late addition to the preseason roster, is apparently being added to the practice squad.
Jayron Hosley gets to stick around.
The Giants have also cut CB Mike Harris.
