The New York Giants today shuffled their practice squad, adding wide receiver Tavarres King and quarterback C.J. Kinne, while dropping wide reeiver Julian Talley and offensive lineman Vinston Painter.
King, a fifth-round draft choice by the Denver Broncos in 2013, played in two games and had two receptions for 13 yards for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. He was released by the Bucs on Sept. 4.
This is Kinne's second tour on the Giants' practice squad this season. He was signed Sept. 9 and released Sept. 15.
Talley played in two games for the Giants in both 2013 and 2014. He spent most of those seasons on the practice squad. He did not have a pass reception in either of those seasons.
Painter joined the Giants' practice squad on Sept. 15.
None of the "name" players the Giants worked out on Tuesday -- wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Wes Welker, and tight end Chris Cooley -- have been signed.
