The New York Giants finish what has largely been an unsatisfying preseason Thursday night when they face the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. (7:30 p.m.ET). Use this as your thread to discuss the game, or at least the first half of it.

The Giants began training camp optimistic that they had finally assembled a team capable of ending their three-year playoff drought. A rash of injuries at the safety position, as well as to key players like wide receiver Victor Cruz and middle linebacker Jon Beason, sloppy, ineffectiveness offense and a defense unable to slow mediocre offenses like those of the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets have raised concerns.

None of those are likely to be alleviated Thursday night. Head coach Tom Coughlin said Giants' starters will play "very little," so the majority of the evening will be spent watching backups and players who won't make the 53-man roster.
