Just a day after a second straight disappointing loss that dropped them to 0-2, the New York Giants had to return to the practice field to get ready for a Thursday night game against the Washington Redskins. The Giants held what amounted to a walk-through on Monday at Quest Diagnostics Training Center, and many players -- including some new names -- were held out of the workout.
Here is Monday's complete injury list.
Did Not Practice
DE Robert Ayers (hamstring)
WR Victor Cruz (calf)
TE Jerome Cunningham (knee)
OT Ereck Flowers (ankle)
DT Markus Kuhn (knee)
DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa (foot)
CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (concussion)
OG Geoff Schwartz (illness)
Limited Practice
LB Jon Beason (knee)
TE Daniel Fells (foot)
DT Jay Bromley (knee)
DL Cullen Jenkins (hamstring)
Earlier Monday, head coach Tom Coughlin was unable to provide much in the way of updates as no test results were yet available. Right now, the Giants have an entire team's worth of bruised egos. The injury list shows they also have quite a few battered bodies.
