After a pivotal week of preparation, the Giants were hoping to come in and start fast on offense and defense against the Falcons, and even though they didn't quite accomplish that, they head into the second half with the lead.
Steve Spagnuolo said that the Giants had to do a better job of getting to the opposing quarterback, and while the Giants have yet to record a sack, they have been constantly pressured Matt Ryan, resulting in a pair of near interceptions and several tipped passes. However, a defense depleted by injuries suffered another blow when Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was ruled OUT of the game with a concussion after being kicked in the chin while tackling Tevin Coleman.
On the offensive side the Giants needed to pick things up from their performance in the season opener. Eli Manning did that, going 15 of 21 for 184 yards and a touchdown, while Odell Beckham Jr lit up the field with 6 receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown.
