Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here are your Monday morning headlines as we begin the final week of the preseason.

Prince, others: Giants aren't ready

After the Giants' 28-18 loss to the New York Jets on Saturday cornerback Prince Amukamara voiced concern that the Giants are not ready for the ready regular season.

"I still think we’re not where we need to be, and it’s obvious to everyone," Amukamara said after the game. "I don’t know if I remember feeling like this last year, but you don’t want to feel unsure going into the season, especially when the first week is a division opponent [Sept. 13 against Dallas in Arlington, Texas].

"You want to be confident. … Going into the season, you want to feel ready, you want to feel right, you want to feel confident as a defense like, ‘Man, we’re ready to take on an opponent for real,’ [and] personally I don’t think that."

During his Sunday conference call, head coach Tom Coughlin appeared to agree.

"I think we all have a ways to go," Coughlin said. "I don't think any of it is exactly where it should be."

Some in the media would appear to agree. Witness these posts:
