Yesterday, the New York Giants waived two players, TE Matt LaCosse and DE Brad Harrah. It didn't take long to find their replacements as reports circulated today that their roster spots have been filled by Penn State rookie DE Brad Bars and second-year WR Derrick Johnson.
Giants have signed two players to the roster: WR Derrick Johnson and DE Brad Bars.

Bars was part of a Penn State defense that lead the nation in most major statistical categories last season, and while he didn't start any games during that time, he played reasonably well in limited action, with his best performance coming against Temple in Week 12.
Johnson is a second-year player who appeared in three games for the New England Patriots last preseason and caught two passes in the final exhibition game against the Carolina Panthers.
The two players have been signed to the 90-man training camp roster and will likely compete for practice squad placements rather than the final 53-man team.
