'Big Blue Chat,' episode 21: Jason Pierre-Paul, other topics discussed

Need a football fix? We've got one.

Alex Sinclair

Pat Traina (Bleacher Report/Inside Football) and I discuss the latest on Jason Pierre-Paul and talk more about the New York Giants offseason in episode 21 of the 'Big Blue Chat' podcast.

Yes, even in the middle of July Pat and I can find Giants topics to talk about. Pierre-Paul is, of course, out of the hospital, per published reports. Pat took that as a "positive sign" that there were no complications. Yours truly reiterated my stance that JPP and the Giants would be better off together in 2015, and that Pierre-Paul can't be expected to be in peak form for a while. Patty said JPP being ready for Week 1 is "probably optimistic," and I agree.

Training camp is less than three weeks away, with players expected to report July 30. The offensive line, particularly, the tackle position, tops the list of concerns at this point.
