Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here are your Thursday morning Giants headlines.
What will it take to create the optimal defense for the Giants in 2015? Pat Traina offers some thoughts. By the way, did you miss Jon Beason's comments about the complexity of the scheme being installed by Steve Spagnuolo?
Marshall Newhouse as the starting right tackle? The veteran struggled in a couple of other starting opportunities earlier in his career. He thinks he knows why:
"I let outside things kind of get to me too much. I definitely felt, for whatever reason, there was ... I'll say I gave too much weight to other people's words who weren't with the organization, coaches or family or just people that are close to me," Newhouse said. "I let that be a driving factor entirely too much. That is just part of being a pro. You're going to get criticism. That is part of where we are. Everybody, top down, gets it.
"I didn't handle it well. I definitely learned from it. It's definitely one of those things you live and learn and move on from it."
So, Steve Weatherford hasn't lost his sense of humor. This from a charity softball game to benefit the NYPD held Wednesday at Yankee Stadium.
Jason Pierre-Paul hasn't signed the franchise tag the Giants placed on him and probably won't report to the team until training camp. JPP, though, has consistently posted images of his strenuous worked on social media. Here is another.
