Good morning, New York Giants' fans! Here are your Tuesday morning headlines.
Former Giants Walter Thurmond had some interesting things to say about Tom Coughlin recently. For reference, Thurmond was asked to compare the three NFL coaches he has played for -- Coughlin, Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly. Here is part of what he said:
"Coach Coughlin is the same type of person, but we battled through injuries last season. Yes, he's a little old-school, but he's starting to come around to the times. He doesn't believe in the sport-science aspect like Coach Carroll or Coach Kelly and the newfound technology for the players. His style takes a hit, because he doesn't believe in this aspect. He believes in winning, but he doesn't believe in the modern medicine to progress the players to that next level."
None of us knows what "sport-science" Thurmond is referring to, or how much stock to put into the words of an injury-riddled player who has been healthy enough to suit up for just 36 of 80 potential regular-season games in his career. We do know the Giants use GPS monitoring on their players and have modified practices to include regular recovery stretches.
When it comes to injuries, everyone has a theory about why the Giants have suffered so many in recent years. I'm sure this will add fuel to the fire for those who want to blame the head coach.

Chris Simms of Bleacher Report is bullish on the 2015 Giants.
Odell Beckham did not talk to media before departing Giants mandatory minicamp. He did, however, talk to Giants.com and revealed that his favorite super hero is Batman.
Blogging The Boys asks Cowboys fans which player they would take from each NFC East team. The best thing here is the table showing the number of players each team has on Pete's Prisco's Top 100 players list.
Beckham is the only Giants offensive player on the All-NFC East Team offense compiled by Bleeding Green Nation.
