Good morning, New York Giants fans! Let's take a quick check of your Giants-related headlines this morning.

Cover 32 believes it will be a surprise if the Giants reach the playoffs in 2015. The basic premise here is that the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are just better. My take is that it's May 15. It's too early to make any definitive statements. Let's wait a few months and see.

Odell Beckham Jr. is on the 'Madden' cover this year, which is nice. Ernie Palladino writes, however, that the Giants will need much more than that to have a successful 2015 season. Palladino writes:

"... the Giants still remain far enough removed from a playoff quality team that Beckham's cover shot could go down as a season highlight. There are still issues looming over the team — the filling of both safety spots, the continued overhaul of the offensive line, and the success potential of Ben McAdoo's West Coast offense — that could turn a "win-or-else" 2015 into a fourth straight season outside the tournament."

Dan Graziano of ESPN looks at the Giants' options for the slot cornerback role.
