Good morning, New York Giants fans! Let's get your Friday started with a look at the Giants-related headlines.
Draft chatter
The Giants were represented at the Maryland pro day by Vice President of Player Evaluation Marc Ross. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, a potential mid-round pick, was the main attraction. No word on whether will meet privately with Diggs or work him out. Here is a little more about Diggs.
Washington also held its pro day on Thursday, with the main attraction being Danny Shelton, the massive defensive tackle often mentioned as a candidate for the Giants with the ninth overall pick. Cornerback Marcus Peters and linebacker/safety Shaq Thompson were also working out. Thompson reportedly did both linebacker and defensive back drills. CBS Sports has a nice rundown of the Washington pro day.
Greg Gabriel, a one-time scout for the Giants and former Chicago Bears Director of College Scouting, offers a breakdown of Kentucky defensive end Bud Dupree. Gabriel calls Dupree, who some think could be in consideration for the Giants at No. 9, "a better athlete than player."
And finally ...
Nice to see Victor Cruz taking part here, even though it is likely in an extremely limited fashion.
Eli Manning, @OBJ_3, @TeamVic, and @RuebenRandle are also at Duke working out together. (via @TeamVic) pic.twitter.com/eOl4hn9zu6
