It took nearly three full days of "legal tampering," but we now have our first full-fledged Antrel Rolle rumor. Rolle is being linked to the Chicago Bears.
32 year old safety Antrel Rolle -- "@mikecwright: He's one of Bears top targets and Bears appear 2B frontrunner for his services."
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) March 9, 2015
The Bears took safety Ryan Mundy off the Giants' hands a year ago. Could they now take Rolle, who spent the last five years in New York?
There is no way of knowing for sure at this point if Rolle is indeed one of the "top targets" for Chicago, or if the Bears really are a "front-runner" for him. For all we know at the moment, the Bears could be the only current bidder. This was worth mentioning, though, because we have heard nothing about Rolle to this point.
As much as Rolle may not like it, at 32 his market may not develop until guys like Rahim Moore, Da'Norris Searcy and Ron Parker have made their decisions.
Your thoughts, Giants fans?
