Antrel Rolle, appearing on the Michael Kay on ESPN Radio, said Thursday that he has had no talks with the New York Giants about returning next season. As a result, he will be a free agent when the market opens next Tuesday.
"This is a business. You have to approach it as a business," Rolle said. "This is strictly a business move. If there's 32 teams interested, I'm going to listen to 32 teams."
The 32-year-old said he couldn't address the idea of giving the Giants a hometown discount to stay with the team because no offer has yet been made by the team.
All three veteran safeties who were with the Giants a year ago -- Rolle, Quintin Demps and Stevie Brown -- are all free agents. Here is a look at some of the players available who could be attractive to the Giants as free-agent replacements.
"I'm always going to be a Giant at heart," Rolle said. "I've loved my time here."
The free agent signing period begins March 10.
