It's not all draft talk around here. Sometimes life intrudes on our daily plans. That happened to Larry Donnell and 129 other passengers on a Delta flight from Atlanta today. The flight was supposed to land at LaGuardia airport, but instead it nearly came to rest in Flushing Bay when the plane skidded on a slick runway.
Fortunately, and most importantly, all passengers and crew were unharmed. However, the pictures show that that very nearly wasn't the case.
Donnell released the following statement through the Giants' PR department:
"I'm blessed to be safe and sound after our plane skidded off the runway at LaGuardia Airport today. I feel fine physically, and hopefully all the other passengers did not have any significant injuries. We were all shocked and alarmed as the plane started to skid, but most importantly, as far as I know, all of the passengers and the crew were able to exit the plane safely."
