Good morning, New York Giants! Kim Jones broke the news on Monday that Tom Coughlin will sign a one-year extension with the Giants at some point in the next few days.

That really isn't news. It is really confirmation of what Coughlin, 69, hinted at last week. That means his contract will run through his 70th birthday.

Coughlin did an entertaining interview with Jones from his Lucas Oil Stadium seat at the Combine on Monday. Watch the gyrations as he explains why he likes that seat. He looks like a mad scientist.

Coughlin told Jones "We believe we will get an impact player" at No. 9 in the draft. Coughlin did acknowledge that backto-back losing seasons having increase the pressure on the organization. "There may be a little more intensity in it this year because of the circumstance we've found ourselves in," he said.
