Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. are two of the game's most flamboyant young players. They are close friends from their days playing together at LSU. Beckham is already legendary for his spectacular in-game catches, and his pre-game warm-up routine, and Landry isn't far behind.
The Dolphins' receiver told New York media that the two would have something up their sleeves prior to Monday night's game.
"We're thinking about it, we're thinking about it. We'll get together earlier that day before pregame and we'll put something together," Landry said.
The two have "a bond that goes way beyond the game," Landry said.
"His success means everything to me, as mine is to him. Like I said, I want him to have the game of his life, but I want to win the game. At the same time, I'm rooting for him."
Despite the fact that they will be playing against each other, Landry said he and Beckham will not change their routine.
"Actually, we talk every day no matter what. We facetime every day, we text; me, him, (Cincinnati Bengals RB) Jeremy Hill, we are all just part of a group text," Landry said. "We talk literally almost every day and I don't think that it'll get to a point where he doesn't hear from me. When he lands here I'm going to go get him from the hotel and take him to dinner. It'll be good. It'll be fun."
It could also make for a pretty spectacular show during the game.
