EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Will the New York Giants emerge from today's game with the New York Jets looking like they might be able to make a real run in the NFC East, or will they emerge looking headed to a third straight losing season?
The Giants are, of course, tied for the NFC East lead but have wasted a number of opportunities to take control of the division.
"It's December in the National Football League and both teams have opportunities," said Giants head coach Tom Coughlin. "Because of that, it's a big game, there's no way around it. It's an important football game for both teams."
Darrelle Revis won't play today for the Jets due to a concussion. Marshall Newhouse (back), Devon Kennard(hamstring) and Brandon Meriweather (knee)
Use this thread to discuss first-half action. Try to remember, it's just a football game. It's not life and death, so let's check the emotional outbursts. Chris will be along at the half with your second-half open thread.
