As far as the New York Giants are concerned, the playoffs began last weekend. They continued this week as the Carolina Panthers came to town chasing perfection.
The Panthers came into this team as the favorites, but all eyes were on the battle between Carolina corner Josh Norman and Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham quickly proved to be taking that term just a bit too literally, has he has nearly come to blows with Norman after nearly every play, regardless of whether they were involved with the play or not.
It started with an early drop of a sure touchdown after burning the Norman on the Giants' first drive. All told, drops and penalties have caused the Giants to leave at least 17 points on the field.
The defense has played surprisingly well, giving up a couple big plays, but also coming up with a couple as their own. DRC had two opportunities for interceptions and the Giants came up with pair of sacks. The Giants will hope that the defense can step back up as the Panthers get the ball to start the second half.
Can the Giants settle down over halftime?
Use this as your open thread as we buckle in for the second half.
