Giants-Vikings could be flexed to Sunday night

It's up to the Giants.

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

If the New York Giants defeat the Miami Dolphins on Monday night, their Week 16 Dec. 27 game against the Minnesota Vikings will be flexed into the Sunday Night Football time slot on NBC. The game is currently slated for 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The 5-7 Giants face a critical game tonight in Miami. Win and they remain tied for first place in the NFC East. If they lose, the will be a game out, have no tie-breaker advantages, have a game Sunday against the unbeaten Carolina Panthers and could pretty much be irrelevant to the playoff picture.

If the Giants win tonight, they get the SNF spotlight Week 16. If they lose, the Sunday Night Football game will be the Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens.

So, the Giants will either be left out in the cold or actually playing in the cold on a Sunday night in Minnesota. What's it gonna be?
