By placing the New York Giants No. 10 in his weekly Big Blue View NFL Power Rankings, our man Chris has put himself way out on a really rickety limb. As we toured the Internet to compile our weekly aggregated NFL Power Rankings, no one else considers the Giants a top 10 team. Not close. And, to be honest, based on what we've seen thus far, the Giants have no business in anyone's top 10. Not with what might be the second-worst defense in the history of the sport.

The highest ranking found this week came from Pat Kirwan of CBS, who placed the 4-4 Giants No. 13. Pro Football Focus has the NFC East-leading Giants all the way down at No. 21 after Sunday's crazy 52-49 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Overall, the aggregated total for the 10 sites used here places the Giants at No. 16. Right smack in the middle of the NFL pack. Somehow, that seems perfect for a .500 team leading a mediocre division.

Below, the rankings we used this week.

Pro Football Focus -- No. 21

Pro Football Talk -- No. 17 (LW: 13)

CBS Sports (Prisco) -- No. 15 (LW: 11)

That defense is horrible. There just isn't enough talent on that side of the ball. The offense will have to carry this team for a while.

CBS Sports (Kirwan) -- No. 13 (LW: 9)

At the end of the season, the Giants are going to look back and be sick about all the ways they gave away games this season. The offense can score with anyone, but the defense isn't getting it done.

FOX Sports -- No. 15 (LW: 13)

ESPN -- No. 14 (LW: 14)

SB Nation -- No. 15 (LW: 11)

NFL.com -- No. 15 (LW: 12)

USA Today -- No. 16 (LW: 13)

Yahoo Sports -- No. 17 (LW: 12)
