EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Offensive guard Justin Pugh will headline the inactives for the New York Giants on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Pugh had undergone the concussion protocol this week and was found to have an illness, not a concussion. Pugh had been listed as probably on Friday, making it a stunner that the third-year offensive lineman won't play. Veteran guard John Jerry will take Pugh's place at left guard.
Giants say that Pugh practiced on Sat. & was expected to play today....
