Rex Ryan returns to the Meadowlands Thursday night, bringing his Buffalo Bills to the Meadowlands to face the team that fired him as head coach after last season, the New York Jets, on Thursday Night Football (8:25 p.m. ET/NFL Network).
Ryan, of course, couldn't leave well enough alone and return to face the Jets without creating a stir. Ryan, of source, signed IK Enemkpali after the linebacker broke Geno Smith's jaw and was cut by the Jets. Now, Ryan has made the classless move of naming Enemkpali a captain for Thursday night's game.
Beyond all the Ryan nonsense, this is a critical game for both teams. Neither the 5-3 Jets nor the 4-4 Bills haave a shot at catching the runaway train that is the 8-0 New England Patriots, but both do have AFC wild-card aspirations.
