Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here are headlines for the start of your Friday morning.
Colin Kaepernick similar to Tyrod Taylor
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has struggled this year during the 49ers' 1-3 start to the season. The Nevada product is currently sporting a 38.6 QBR, which is 26th out of the 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL. While he hasn't had a very productive season with his arm, his legs are proving to be as effective a weapon as always. Kaepernick is leading the league in rushing yards by a quarterback, tied at the top with Carolina's Cam Newton, but on less attempts. With the combination of he and running back Carlos Hyde, the Giants -- armed with the top ranked NFL rushing defense -- will look to keep Kaepernick in the pocket as much as they can.
"It’s good because we prepared for a very similar guy last week,’’ linebacker Mark Herzlich said. "We just got to keep doing the same type of things we were doing. Same thing, you don’t want them to beat you with their legs.’’
