The New York Giants will be without starting linebacker J.T. Thomas and rookie defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa Sunday when they take on the New Orleans Saints. Thomas has an ankle injury and Odighizuwa a hamstring, both suffered last week against the Dallas Cowboys. Wide receiver Victor Cruz (calf) and cornerback Prince Amukamara (pectoral) will also not play.
For those wondering, Jason Pierre-Paul is not listed on the injury report. The Giants have a two-week roster exemption for Pierre-Paul, so he is not on the roster at this point. Will Beatty, practicing again after tearing a pectoral muscle, is in a similar situation. The Giants have 21 days from the time he began practicing a week ago to add him to the roster or place him on IR.
With Thomas sidelined, it seems likely that Jonathan Casillas would play a larger role on defense. Odighizuwa missed three games earlier this season with a foot injury. With him sidelined again, perhaps Damontre Moore will see action. Moore was inactive last week.
Here is the Giants' full injury list.
