EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- If the New York Giants move on from Tom Coughlin after the 2015 season, NFL insiders think Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly could be at the top of the team's list of potential replacements.
If #Giants have an opening after this year, #NotreDame’s Brian Kelly is a name that GMs pair with that job, based on his traits.

Rapoport also reported that Kelly is one of the big-name college coaches who is "open" to considering an NFL job.
Kelly is in his sixth year at Notre Dame and has compiled a 51-21 record with the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame has gone to a bowl game in each of Kelly first five seasons, and is 6-1 this season.
The Giants, of course, have not made the playoffs since the 2011 season. Asked during the offseason is 2015 was a "win or else" season for the Giants, co-owner John Mara said that was not "an unfair statement."
