EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- One week after being fined $20K by the NFL for a late hit Monday on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford and having head coach Tom Coughlin say he wasn't sure he could trust him, defensive end Damontre Moore will be inactive. Moore will not dress Sunday when the New York Giants face the Dallas Cowboys.
Moore's penalty on Monday was his 16th in 37 NFL games.. He leads the Giants this season with three sacks, but also has three penalties. The roughing the passer call was third roughing the passer or unnecessary roughness penalty of Moore's career.
"I don't know," Coughlin said this week when asked if he could trust Moore.
"There's been a lot of sitting down and talking. I certainly will do more of it it. He is very good about listening, but we've gotta see whether it can hold true on the field," Coughlin said.
Moore, 23, won't get the chance this week to show whether or not he learned anything from the past week.
Here are the rest of the Giants' inactives:
CB Prince Amukamara (pectoral)
WR Victor Cruz (calf)
OL Bobby Hart
DT Louis Nix
CB Brandon McGree (back)
LB Uani 'Unga (neck)
The absence of 'Unga means the Giants will have to make an adjustment in their nickel defense.
