Giants, Eagles Halftime Score: Giants trail, 17-7

Use this as your second-half open thread

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants opened their visit to Philadelphia with a torrid march down the field for a touchdown. Eli Manning was perfect and the Eagles had no answers for the Giants' ultra-efficient offense. On that drive Manning hit Rueben Randle, Larry Donnell, Will Tye, and Odell Beckham as the Giants scored on their first posession.

A quick three-and-out ater, the offense was back on the field and once again marching. This possession looked like it was going to extend the Giants' lead when Larry Donnell let a pass into his chest, where it was promptly ripped away by DeMeco Ryans.

It was all down hill from there. An interception returned for a touchdown, a rare fumble from Rashad Jennings, a variety of mistakes by both teams and a bevy of officiating mistakes made half-time a welcome reprieve.

The Giants also lost safety Brandon Meriweather to a knee injury, his return is questionable.

This game will likely come down to whichever team can clean up the most mistakes and make the best adjustments at the half.

The Eagles will get the ball to start the second half.
