Marc Ross will not be leaving the New York Giants to become general manager of the Chicago Bears.
The #Bears announced they have hired Ryan Pace as their new GM. Saints lose a good man
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 8, 2015
Ross has been with the Giants since 2007, first as director of college scouting and now as overall head of player evaluation. He was also passed over for several general manager opening after the 2012 season, when he interviewed for at least five openings.
There has been some renewed speculation this off-season that Ross could be in line for a GM job, largely because of the Giants' selection of incredible rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Ross has been mentioned by some in the media as a candidate to be Chip Kelly's GM with the Philadelphia Eagles. The New York Jets had interest in Ross two years ago, and their GM job is also open once again.
