For the second straight year the New York Giants are one of the teams eligible for HBO's 'Hard Knocks.' If that were to happen you know how happy that would make head coach Tom Coughlin.
The HBO training camp reality show is popular with fans, but not with every NFL team. The Giants are one of nine teams eligible to be compelled by the league to do the show. That is because they have not made the playoffs in the past two seasons and did not hire a new head coach.
Teams who cannot be forced to do the show are those with first-year coaches, teams that have made the playoffs the last two seasons, and teams that have been on the show the last 10 years.
This year's other eight eligible teams are the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.
