The New England Patriots advanced to the Super Bowl Sunday with an overpowering 45-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game.

The Patriots are seeking their fourth Super Bowl title in the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era. The Giants, of course, denied the Patriots in the 2007 and 2011 title games, winning historic upsets.

The Patriots led 17-7 at halftime, but put the game away with a dominant 21-0 third quarter that gave New England a 38-17 lead. The Colts had no answers for a dominant New England offense.

LeGarrette Blount led the Patriots with 30 carries for 148 yards and three touchdowns.

The Seahawks advanced with a 28-22 overtime victory over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

Super Bowl 49 will be held Feb. 1 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
