Lost in the hub-bub over the hiring of Steve Spagnuolo as defensive coordinator was the fact that the New York Giants completed their defensive coaching staff by officially announcing the hiring of Tim Walton as cornerbacks coach. Walton replaces Peter Giunta, who was fired along with former defensive coordinator Perry Fewell.
Walton was defensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams in 2013. The 43-year-old was the Detroit Lions’ defensive backs coach from 2009-12.
