The New York Giants on Saturday selected Florida offensive lineman Bobby Hart in Round 7 of the 2015 NFL Draft, the 226th overall selection. This will be the Giants' final selection in the draft.
Hart is a 6-foot-5, 329-pound offensive guard. CBS Sports says:
Strictly a power player who was poor in pass protection in college. He has an enormous body and good length.
Ourlads offers a somewhat encouraging scouting report on Hart:
Three-year starter. Will be 20 years old when drafted. May have been out of position at right tackle. He has the ideal frame and style for a guard but was likely moved outside because of the amount of talent they already had inside. Hart was a quality wrestler and basketball player in high school and that kind of athleticism shows up on tape. His issues as a blocker are more technique based than anything. Has the tools to be a quality backup and eventual starter in the NFL. Just needs to shore up his feet and hands and may have to make a move to the inside.
