Good morning, New York Giants fans! Let's get right to some of the latest 2015 NFL Draft rumors and reports that could impact what the Giants ultimately do. We have already discussed the report that the Giants are 'targeting' Stanford OT Andrus Peat, so we will move on from there.
La'el Collins sought for questioning in shooting death
The LSU offensive tackle, who is almost always part of the discussion for the Giants with the ninth overall pick, is being sought for questioning in the recent shooting death of a woman Collins apparently used to date. Per the report, Collins is not a suspect.
Falcons would 'absolutely' consider Shane Ray
Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn told Sirius XM NFL Radio that he would "absolutely" consider taking Missouri defensive end Shane Ray with the eighth overall pick despite his having been charged with marijuana possession this week. Some think Ray will drop all the way out of the first round. The Ray situation is interesting not because he is a possibility for the Giants at nine, though some believe he is, but because what happens in the first eight picks obviously impacts who the Giants have to choose from when their pick comes.
No tipping picks, please
The NFL has reportedly asked NBC, CBS and FOX not to tip picks on TV and social media before they are announced on television. This, of course, is something that has gone on for years. ESPN and NFL Network discontinued that practice a couple of years ago.
Damarious Randall unlikely to make it to No. 40
Arizona State safety Damarious Randall is a player who could be a target for the Giants if he is there at No. 40 in Round 2. Tony Pauline is reporting that Randall may not get past the Colts at No. 29 in Round 1.
