With less than two weeks until the 2015 NFL Draft, NFL Network draft guru Mike Mayock has come out with his latest positional rankings. The most noteworthy change in Mayock's rankings is one that should get the attention of New York Giants fans -- Damarious Randall of Arizona State now being listed as the top safety in the class instead of Alabama's Landon Collins.
Collins has long been considered the top safety in the class, the only one worthy of a first-round pick, and a player who might even get consideration from the Giants ninth overall. Randall, a free safety prospect, has been generating increased buzz in the weeks leading up to the draft. Randall did meet with the Giants.
What led Mayock to pushing Randall to the top of his safety rankings this late in the process? Impossible to know, since Mayock's rankings come without an explanation.
Is this move justified? Or is Mayock falling victim to the Randall hype train? Your thoughts, Giants fans?
