Expanation

As the GM of the Texans I come in looking for an upgrade on the offensive side of the ball. However, with the top three wide receivers off the board, I see Saunders, Green-Beckham, and Perriman as reaches at this point. Shane Ray is too much of an elite talent at this point to pass up on, as well as a potential replacement for Brooks Reed. Shane Ray could come in and wreak havoc on a defense that fits his play style and already boasts arguably the top defensive player in the NFL. QBs beware...

This is the same rationale as Invictus and I used in mocking Randy Gregory to the Texans in our Consensus Mock Draft, so I can't argue here. Ray is a natural fit as a rusher in a 1-gap 3-4 defense, and he should see plenty of 1-on-1 matchups behind JJ Watt. If Jadeveon Clowney can come back from microfracture knee surgery, this is a devastating pass rush. They might not have the firepower to keep up with the Colts, but Luck will have a hard time getting to his 3rd or 4th reads with these guys coming for him.
