Pick - La'el Collins, OT/G, LSU

Explanation

Collins looked very good at the Combine, and that has caused him to rise up many draft boards. Collins will step in day 1 and start at guard, replacing Mike Iupati. He could eventually be moved to Right Tackle, but I think his best fit is probably at guard.

Raptor's View

Another solid pick. In fact at this point, Collins is likely something of a steal. He is a solid pass protector, likely an upgrade over Iupati, but he really shines in the run game. Collins' power and nastiness will fit in perfectly with what the 49ers want to do with Carlos Hyde. The 9ers have lost a lot since the 2014 season ended, but this, at least, is a piece they should be able to build with.
