Another under-the-radar late-round pick or potential priority undrafted free agent has been added to the list of players who will visit with the New York Giants prior to the April 30-May 2 NFL Draft. University of Buffalo defensive tackle Kristjan Sokoli will visit the Giants, per his agent.
Sokoli is a 6-foot-5, 290-pound defensive tackle. He tested well at the Buffalo Pro Day with 4.84 40-yard dash, 38-inch vertical, 9-foot, 11-inch broad jump, 7.19 3-cone drills & 31 bench reps of 225 pounds.
Sokoli's hometown is Bloomfield, N.J. It isn't clear if Sokoli will be part of the Giants' workout of local players, set for April 9, or if he has a separate private visit. Most scouting services appear to see Sokoli as a priority undrafted free agent type player.
Sokoli is an interesting story. He played four seasons at Buffalo after immigrating from Albania at age 9.
The Giants are also known to have scheduled visits with safeties Damarious Randall [full story] and Cedric Thompson [full story].
