Newly-acquired offensive lineman Adam Snyder will not play for the New York Giants Monday night when they face the Detroit in their season opener. Snyder, signed in the middle of last week, is among the seven inactive players for the Giants.
The full list is as follows:
Snyder, Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring), Charles Brown (shoulder), James Brewer (back), Markus Kuhn (ankle), Kerry Wynn, Jay Bromley.
The decision to leave Bromley, the rookie third-round pick, inactive means the Giants will carry only three active defensive tackles into Monday's game. That would be an indication that they expect the Lions to use a pass-heavy game plan.
With Snyder, Brown and Brewer inactive the Giants have only Brandon Mosley and Dallas Reynolds as reserve offensive linemen.
The Detroit inactives are wide receivers Kevin Ogletree and Ryan Broyles, quarterback Kellen Moore, offensive lineman Cornelius Lucas, defensiive lineman Larry Webster and safeties Don Casey and James Ihedigbo.
