Good Morning New York Giants fans!
Now, I'm not sure if you've heard, but the NFL is officially back today. I hear that's kind of a big deal.
Sadly, we all have to wait until tomorrow night to get to see the Giants in action. So, to help make the time go just a little bit faster, I decided to help everybody here at BBV get to know your staff just a little bit better. And have a bit of fun while I'm at it.
If you've ever set digital foot on The Facebook, you've probably been bombarded by about 800 "personality tests". You know, you answer five or six fairly arbitrary questions, then "find out what ________ you are", and get a vague yet complementary description.
Well I found one more, and decided to ask Ed, Dennis, and Invictus to take it. FOR SCIENCE! (and for your entertainement on a non-Giants Football Sunday).
So, without further ado, let's get to know your BBV staff... Sorta.
(Oh, wait, that wasn't very nice... Also Ed is my boss. I can do better than that)
You Got: Eli Manning - You're the silent leader. No need for too many raa-raa speeches, you let your work speak for itself. You don't get rattled and others rely on you because of that leadership and level-headed attitude when under pressure. No matter what arises, you remain focused on what you set out to accomplish.
And from how I know Ed, that is surprisingly accurate. I'm not about to start calling him "Easy E" though.
Dennis M. Esser
You Got: Steve Weatherford - You're relentless. When others take a break, you keep pushing yourself. As each day goes on, you realize just how strong you really are and can see that you have the opportunity to be better than you were yesterday.
Wow... A punter for our fantasy football guru. That's gotta sting a bit. But, the description is probably pretty accurate. You've got to be pretty relentless to go through making sense of all the stats, rankings, and drafs and such to know as much about Fantasy Football as Dennis does.
You Got: Victor Cruz - You're flashy and quick on your feet. You always know just exactly where you need to be next. Others may not initially notice what makes you so special, but eventually your unique contributions will not be able to go unnoticed.
I think this is pretty accurate, and probably the least surprising of our results... I mean, anyone who's read any of Invictus' WR film studies knew this was coming, right?
Also, I hear he makes a mean salsa.
You Got: Tom Coughlin - You're no-nonsense and know how to get the most out of others. You are organized and have the ability to make tough decisions. You don't complain or make excuses when things don't go the way you expect them to. You know what exactly needs to be done ... no matter what others may say.
Umm... Okay. I had to go back before they invented color to find a picture of TC when he was a young man.
No-nonsense? I don't think you can call anyone who would take one of these tests "No-nonsense". Organized? Uhh... In my own way. The other stuff? Yeah, that's me. But I am still neither old nor stodgy (nor do I ever intend to be). I mean, I only occasionally tell those damn kids (with their ZZ Top) to get off my lawn.
Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed my little Sunday diversion. Let us know what you think, and keep it going.
