Giants Injury Report: Jon Beason on track, Brandon Mosley back to work

Giants issue first official injury report

The Star-Ledger-USA TODAY Sports

Jon Beason remains on track to play Monday night when the New York Giants face the Detroit Lions in their season-opener on Monday Night Football. Beason, who has surgery to repair a broken sesamoid bone in his foot, was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice in the Giants first official injury report of the 2014.

Guard Brandon Mosley, a starter until a back injury sidelined him prior to the final preseason game, was also a limited participant. Offensive tackle Charles Brown (shoulder) was also limited.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham, as has been the case for the past couple of weeks, did not practice. Nor was he expected to. Offensive lineman James Brewer (back) and defensive tackle Markus Kuhn (ankle) did not practice. Kuhn has not practiced since suffering what seemed like a minor ankle injury against the New York Jets.
