You have to wonder if former New York Giants Justin Tuck and Kevin Boothe are pining, at least a little bit, today for what they used to have with the Giants. Tuck and Boothe are now members of the 0-4 abomination known as the Oakland Raiders, who fired head coach Dennis Allen overnight, reportedly doing so via a phone call.
No one, of course, is going to sympathize with Tuck or Boothe. Tuck chose the Raiders money and whatever else came with it over finishing his career with the Giants. The Giants didn't really want Boothe any longer as they didn't make much effort to re-sign him during the offseason. He needed a job and found one with the Raiders.
Still, the Raiders really are a hot mess. They went 8-28 in two seasons and parts of a third under Allen's direction. Here is the reaction from Silver and Black Pride:
Dennis Allen had a terrible a go of it as the leader of the Oakland Raiders finishing his career with a putrid record of 8-28. He had lost 10 straight games going back to last year and has several of the Raiders worst games under his belt. It was a failed hiring by Reggie McKenzie since day one, and DA's removal just 4 games into his third season is an admittance of such.
Giants' running back Rashad Jennings, a member of the Raiders last season, has to be happy today that the Giants came calling during the offseason.
