Giants 45, Redskins 14: Post-game quotebook

Post-game locker room reaction following the Giants' 45-14 victory over the Washington Redskins on Thursday night.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Let's go inside the locker room and see what the New York Giants were saying after Thursday's impressive 45-14 victory over the Washington Redskins.

Eli Manning on the development of the offense ...

"Starting to like the offense. Each week we add some new things. Have a lot of good meeting with coach McAdoo. It's fun. Each week's a challenge ... it's exciting, it's fun ... guys are starting to feel the tempo of things and see what we can do with this offense.

"We had to come together as a team. First couple games it was going to take some time for us to understand the timing, the rhythm of this offense. Get totally comfortable with new plays, new cadence, new people. Lot of new things going on. I think we've gotten better every week, and that's what we've gotta continue to do."

Tom Coughlin on the offensive display ...

"Did some outstanding things in the passing game. The quarterback got us in a lot of good situations. Played very, very well.

"Our execution is much better. Guys are making plays for us. There doesn't seem to be the is-fires in the middle of drives that we were having. I think our protection has been for the most part pretty good. Our execution with the no huddle has been pretty good."

Coughlin on the importance of winning Thursday ...

"To be able to leave here tonight 2-2 and 1-0 in the division that was huge. It's exciting to be in the hunt. By being able to come out of here with a win hopefully we have a chance to be."

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie credited the pass rush with helping the Giants get four interceptions of Kirk Cousns ...

"If you let him stay on his spot he's very accurate. Any time you rattle him a little bit his percentage drops way down, so the main thing was to try to get after him, put pressure in his face and we definitely did that tonight."

Antrel Rolle on playing with a lead ...

"You want games like that where you're ahead and the other team is trying to play catch-up. You know they have to force the ball. ... It gives the defense more opportunities to create turnovers. It's like Christmas."
