Odell Beckham Jr. Injury Update: Beckham practices with Giants

First-round pick runs routes with team for first time in more than a month.

Odell Beckham Jr. did something on Tuesday that he had not done since August 18. He practiced with the New York Giants. Per a variety of media reports, the rookie wide receiver ran some routes and caught a few passes from quarterback Eli Manning during the early, individual portion of practice Tuesday at Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

"I feel as good as I've ever felt right now," Beckham said after practice.

As of Monday, Beckham had not been cleared to practice. This then marks a huge step forward for the team's first-round pick.

Despite this development, the Giants already indicated this week that Beckham would not play against the Redskins.

Head coach Tom Coughlin said Tuesday that Beckham's debut is "in the future" and that his practice "wasn't the most extensive of individuals."

Beckham said the goal is to be ready to play against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 5, the Giants fifth regular-season game.
