New York Giants middle linebacker Jon Beason, thought to possibly be heading to injured reserve after he aggravated the foot injury that cost him the entire preseason during Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, remains hopeful that he can play Sunday against the Houston Texans.
Jon Beason said he feels "a whole lot better" but he still plans to head to Charlotte Friday to see the foot specialist.

With a short week and a game on natural grass next Thursday, might be smart to let Beason take a week off rather than lose him for longer.

Beason said he stepped on someone's foot, which is what caused the injury aggravation.
